YOUR LOCAL PLASTIC SURGERY EXPERT

Affectionately known as “Dr. Tag”, Baltimore’s own Dr. Maakan Taghizadeh emerged as one of our community's most respected plastic surgeons. Through a combination of science, training, and artistry, Dr. Tag creates some of the most beautiful—but never overdone—transformations of the body, breasts, and face. Take a look at his selection of procedures here.

TRAINED BY RENOWN EXPERTS

Dr. Tag attended Gilman School and graduated Cum Laude from James Madison University. After JMU, he went to work for Eli Lilly and Company, where he was the top sales representative in the USA.

Dr. Tag earned his medical degree at the University of Maryland School of Medicine in Baltimore, MD. He then completed his training in general surgery at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, where he was awarded the prestigious Intern of the Year award.

Next, Dr. Tag completed his plastic and reconstructive surgery residency at the Ohio State University Medical Center. He returned to Baltimore following his residency to complete a fellowship in Breast, Microsurgical, and Aesthetic Surgery at Mercy Medical Center.

PATIENTS COME FIRST

Dr. Tag takes great pride in truly listening to his patients and developing a treatment plan tailored to each individual's goals. He chose the name of his practice because "U" are what he cares about most. Here is that philosophy in his own words:

Approachable

“Mine is a much more casual approach to partnering with my patients. Formality is just not in my DNA. Warmth and humor go a long way to make patients feel at ease. But in my work, I’m a perfectionist. I educate the patient, provide all their options, and support them every step of the way as though they are family.

Attentive Care

“Time is a secret ingredient. I don’t rush anything. Putting each patient at ease and listening carefully is essential during consultations. So is executing every procedure carefully and with the patient’s expectations front and center.

Striving for the Best

“I learned discipline as a Division I college wrestler. There are some similarities between sports and aesthetic medicine. Both take dedication, stamina, singlemindedness, training, and the desire to be the best.
